SAFE WATER AND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY THROUGH SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

VILLAGE FORWARD provides access to safe drinking water and economic opportunity through social enterprise. Our market-driven model combines the benefits of franchising with the advantages of leveraging community-level knowledge and networks to maximize social and economic impact.

The Aquasif

Village Forward was founded in 2003 as a way to create microbusinesses to make and sell the Aquasif, a low-cost household water treatment system (HWTS) that provides safe drinking water in homes, schools, health clinics, and businesses.

Economic Opportunity

Village Forward uses a microbusiness model to expand use of the Aquasif, by teaching local potters how to set up manufacturing and sales operations. This provides jobs, and better, the dignity that comes with people taking safe drinking water problems and solving them with their own hands.

Making a Donation

Village Forward needs and welcomes your tax-deductible donations. $100 will pay for 17 Aquasif systems, providing safe drinking water to approximately 102 people, for several years! A $1000 donation will pay for a new microbusiness manufacturing site. Please consider  helping  us move forward with our mission.
