Producing Aquasifs

Using local, sustainable materials, Aquasif Household Water Treatment Systems (HWTS) are produced at Village Forward and at the many microbusiness sites. Each systems is assigned a code number for quality control records.

The low cost of the Aquasif is made possible by efficient manufacturing methods including molds for the main body, custom designed kilns for firing, and a simple design with few parts that provides adequate safe drinking water for a family of
6– 7 people.

Aquasif systems sell for between $8 tp $10. Filter discs require yearly replacement at the cost of about $2. Aquasif delivers approximately 18,000 liters of safe drinking water per year (approx. 50 liters/day).
